Nice, very funny and interesting piece of art, it really brings good luck for me in 2023 by the way!!! it depends what time of the year you come, but it’s definitely always a bit crowded and has long lines to take a picture there

I enjoyed spending time with friends while visiting this sculpture.live atmosphere around. There were long queues for about 20 minutes to take photos.

With the most recent market drop, come to the bull for some luck, haha… Better be there very early or very late, or else it full of people line up to touch or take pictures. We stayed at the Double Tree hotel just near by, so came around 9am in the morning it’s nobody there.

Loved visiting this place in Manhattan! The Charging Bull is one of Manhattan’s most famous landmarks and a must-see attraction near Wall Street. The sculpture is wonderful, it’s exciting to see it up close. The area is usually lively, with many visitors taking photos. It’s a great spot for a quick visit while exploring the Financial District and an iconic piece of New York City history.

Visiting here is exactly what you would expect. It is packed from the time tourist get up and get moving until it’s time to return to hotel rooms. As you can see people are on all sides of it. There’s not really a system for getting a non-crowded Photo in. No tickets required. It’s just a statue in the city to visit.

This is such an iconic nyc statue but its often crowded as can be. Today, during the chaos of nyc holiday tourism peak, lines were formed in every direction to have photos taken with the bull. Its nearly impossible to grab photos without other people in them. People head downtown to see the stock exchange tree on Wall Street and this is a logical nearby stop. Target a less crowded time if you are able, you will be more satisfied with the outcome.

Lots of people constantly at the Charging Bull. Most people will be in the vicinity if they visiting Liberty Island as it is near to Battery Park. Only worth it to take a look if your itinerary brings you near here.

We loved the visit! It's one of those classic New York spots The sculpture itself is actually pretty impressive up close, larger than you'd expect and full of detail. It does get crowded, especially with people taking photos, but it moves quickly if you're patient. Highly recommend.

During Covid, I was able to acquire photos of many iconic landmarks without anyone around, not surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of tourists, a once in a lifetime event and this bull and its photos are one of those events I was a part of. The Charging Bull (also known as the Wall Street Bull) is a 7,100-pound bronze sculpture that stands at Bowling Green in Manhattan's Financial District. Standing 11 feet tall and 16 feet long, it has become the global symbol of American capitalism and financial optimism. The Creator: Italian-American artist Arturo Di Modica spent two years and approximately $360,000 of his own money to create the sculpture. The Motivation: Following the 1987 "Black Monday" stock market crash, Di Modica wanted to create a symbol of the "courage and can-do spirit" of Americans to inspire people to pull through the economic downturn. The Midnight Drop: On December 15, 1989, Di Modica and a few friends drove the bull on a flatbed truck to the New York Stock Exchange. They had timed the police patrols and had only a 4-minute window to drop the statue under the exchange's 60-foot Christmas tree. The Removal: When Stock Exchange officials arrived the next morning, they were not pleased. The police impounded the sculpture and hauled it away to a lot in Queens. The public loved the bull immediately. Following a massive public outcry, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation arranged for a "temporary" home for the statue at Bowling Green Park, two blocks away from the Stock Exchange. It has remained there on "temporary" display for over 30 years. The "Bull Market": In finance, a "bull" represents a rising market (because a bull thrusts its horns upward), symbolizing prosperity and confidence. Anatomy of Power: The sculpture is designed to look aggressive and energetic—its nostrils flare, its muscles are tense, and its head is lowered as if ready to charge. Good Luck Rituals: Tourists famously rub the bull’s nose, horns, and "testicles"
